Regent's Park - London Zoo

London Zoo is accessible through the large Outer Circle Road that runs through much of Regents Park. To the north of Outer Circle Road, Regents Canal runs through the zoo. North of the canal, the zoos attractions are primarily focused on avian species. South of the canal, the attractions are divided into three areas. Between Outer Circle Road and Regents Canal, the westernmost section focuses on African species, the middle section on rainforest species, and the easternmost section focuses on small mammals.

South of Outer Circle Road, the attractions are more varied in their placement. There are several exhibits for a variety of primates, a variety of reptiles and exotic birds, large cats, camelids, wild pigs and pygmy hippos, and even a small aquarium for aquatic species. Each of the attractions is marked with placards that list information about the species in general as well as information about the individual animals that are part of the London Zoo. Trails lead through the zoo and are marked with trail numbers that, if followed, would lead a person through each of the attractions.

Although it is a bit late to be walking around the zoo, Reilkin Donatar couldn't resist the park and its attractions at night. He enjoyed the area almost as much as Ferox, his Ferret daemon did this late in the evening. Walking along the path, the man had no real destination in mind, he was simply glad to be out of the dirtier areas of the city that he often found himself in. Ferox, curled along the back of the man's neck lets out a sigh and whispers something into Reilkins ear, making the man turn down a path and wander towards some other area of the zoo.

True its late, though for ones who work here there jobs come at all hours of the night. Jasper is infact sitting near the wolf enclosure writing in a notebook from thelooks of it. Sennett is resting at her side just watching the few wolves that he sees inside. In all its rather quiet and peaceful here at the moment.
Reilkin's footsteps are accompanied by a light 'tap tap' as his cane hits the ground as he walks along the trail. He fails to see the girl and in fact walks right past her, deep in his thoughts as he gazes up into the sky. He stops and 'hmphs' to himself before sighing, "Well I guess it is getting a bit late, maybe we should head back to the Church to check in, but must you always spoil my fun?"

Sennett glances up at the movement and tilts his head as he watches the man and other daemon walk by, he looks to Jasper whom looks to him and then towards the man as well. She blinks as she didn't expect anyone to actually be out in the zoo at this hour. "Evening." This said with a friendly tone and slight smile.

In a flash Reilkin has spun around and a thin long blade is pointed towards the girl before anyone can make a move, a look of fierce irritation on the young mans face. However, after seeing the girl his expression softens and he lowers the blade,"I do appologize Miss, you startled me. One can never be too carefull at this time of night." As he speaks, Reilkin slides the thin blade into his cane, hiding it fromn view and returning the can to its seemingly harmless appearance. "Please forgive me, I hope I did not scare you."

A yelp escapes Sennett and a half cry escapes Jasper as the man turns around with the blade, she was scared needless to say so much so that Sennett jump up in her lap causing her to drop the notebook and pen. She just eyes the man and once he lowers the blade she even glares at him while Sennett sudden growls as Jasper goes from being scared to just plain mad. "I would hope you /would/ appologize for soemthing like that." She states with a faint tone. "I belong here as I /work/ here.. needless to say I don't remember you at the last meeting." Needless to say Jasper isn't happy.

Reilkin bows and looks truely sorry as Ferox makes sure to stay high on Relikin's shoulders after observing the growling canine. "I must admit i do not work here, I've just recently gotten into the habit of nighttime walks to calm my nerves...obviously it hasn't been working if this is any indication." The young man takes off his cap and smiles,"Please, I do appologize, my duties keep me a bit...high strung, God forgive me. I mean you no harm I assure you."

Jasper watches the man a few moments, calming down somewhat while Sennett stays sitting on her lap as if making sure the man doesn't try to harm her, she is wary so he is as well. "Suppose I should be glad it wasn't a gun." This said as she attempts to joke about what happened. She sighs a moment. "Its fine, no one was hurt that's what matters, right?"

Reilkin smiles and nods, "of course, and you should have no fear of guns from me, dreadful things I'll have you know. But look at how rude I've been," He offers his hand and smiles kindly,"I am Reilkin Donatar of St. Paul's, it is a pleasure to meet you. But tell me, isn't it a bit late to be out here by yourself?"

Jasper mms faintly and nods while glancing to Sennett whom soon hops down and sits in front of her, while she looks back to the man. "I see.. I'm Jasper Martill, zookeeper." As if that would be a surprize with her saying she works here. "Well, I have Sennett with me so I don't think of myself alone." She clears her throat while standing and brushes her shirt off before pointing to the wolves. "The wolves are expecting pups, so one of the zookeers stick around during these times."

Reilkin nods,"I see, how facinating." Though the disinterest in the man's voice is somewhat detectable. However, Ferox seems quite curious and ventures down along Reilkin's leg, along the ground and hoping up onto a nearby bench, peaking out into the darkness where the wolves are likely to be. "I can't say I've seen you at service on Sundays, perhaps I've only missed you. It is a rather large Cathedral after all."

Jasper seems to pick up on the fact that he isn't interested in what she's talking about, which is something she's rather use too. It use to bother her though now she just doesn't care anymore. Sennett glances to Ferox and his tail wags a few times. "Hello." He offers with a friendly tone. Jasper glances to Reilkin at the talk of service and she ahs softly. "Yes well.. I make service when I can." Which hasn't been for a while actually. "I work on the weekends as well, the animals don't understand days off after all."

The smile on Reilkin's face falters only briefly before he nods,"Well that /is/ a shame." Ferox's body twitches and she looks over to Sennett with an unbelieving look, as if she can't believe this dog would actually be attempting to converse with her. "Hello yourself..." after a moment she grins,"Shouldn't you be inside with the wolves?"

Jasper smirks faintly at the reaction she gets from him, though she was expecting it. "I suppose it is.." She offers softly. Sennett tilts his head and soon smirks. "No.. but we have a snake enclosure that you'd fit in with nicely." As prey but he doesn't say that part outloud.

Ferox huffs and slides back up towards Reilkin, muttering something about big-eared strays before refusing to look towards either Jasper or her Daemon,"It's late Reilkin, shouldn't we be off by now?" Looking at his watch, Reilkin nods and smiles politely towards Jasper,"I'm afraid I've lost track of the time, We really must be heading back. Will I see you this Sunday? Surely the animals can wait a few hours."

Sennett smirks while peering after the ferret and soon glances back to the wolves. Jasper glances to her own watch, surprized at the time herself it seems. At the question she's a bit unsure what to say before nodding. "I suppose so.. Yes I'll be there. Be it nothing major happens here of course." She ofers a friendly smile. "Nice too meet you, do take care Mr. Donatar."

Reilkin smiles broadly at the young woman and replaces his boulder cap,"And a pleasure to meet you Ms. Martill." And with that, the man bows and slowly wanders off, Ferox glaring back at Sennett coldly while the man calls back,"See you on Sunday!" And slowly disapears into the night.

Jasper nods once more while waving before going about picking up her stuff so she can leave as well. She has to sleep at some point after all. Sennett sticks his tongue out at Ferox before turning to follow after Jasper as she starts to leave as well.
